Shikiri Hightower married her college sweetheart Keyshawn, whom she met at USC college, on February 14, 1998. Unfortunately,tHey divorced in 2002. The couple has two children, daughter Maia and son Keyshawn Jr.

Before the 2001 season, while Keyshawn was playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Shikiri grew restless in Central Florida. She packed up the kids and moved back to California.
