Meet Chrystal Benson, wife of comedian/actor Joe Torry. The couple married in 2001. Chrystal and Joe have one son together named, Joseph II. Joe also has an older son Kameron Torry from a previous relationship.

Chrystal, a native of St. Louis, is an early childhood educator and print and runway model.Chrystal and Joe are firm believers that long-distance relationships can work. While Joe was traveling around on tour and living in California, the two shared a long-distance love affair with each other “on and off” for seven years after they met at a party in their hometown of St. Louis. Chrystal says,”I wasn’t expecting him to be at the party.” “I approached him with a drink and we talked and laughed.” As the miles grew farther apart their love for each other grew stronger. Torry admits that the disadvantage to a long-distance relationship is “not being there when [your partner] needs your comfort and support emotionally and physically.” Like many long-distance couples Torry and Benson kept their love alive through phone calls, e-mails, cards and visits. With Benson’s modeling experience and an interest in acting, Torry was able to convince her to move to L.A. The couple and their children currently reside Los Angeles.
