Meet Keva Develle Horry, wife of 7 time NBA champion Robert Horry. Keva met Robert through a mutual acquaintance when both were attending college at the Universty of Alabama. Keva, eventually became one of Robert’s closest friends. Keva had never seen someone so tall and thin, nor met someone as easy going. Keva, as boisterous as Robert is reserved, dated the high-profile athlete—despite her better judgment. At one point, the couple’s relationship appeared to be over until Keva’s mom asked Robert to come over and “lend her a hand” fixing something. At that time, Robert and Keva had a long talk and have been together ever since.
Keva married Robert on July 5th, 1997. They have two children, Robert Cameron and Ashlyn. Ashlyn, the couple’s first child, was born on April 2, 1994. Ashlyn is seriously disabled, missing part of her 1st chromosome, meaning she may never speak or walk unaided or discard her feeding tube. Ashlyn spent her first six months in the hospital. Doctors discovered that part of Ashlyn’s throat, the epiglottis, had not formed properly, causing two serious problems. Breathing was difficult and eating was a risk, for fear the food would go down the wrong pipe. So tubes were inserted, and Ashlyn lived at the hospital.
After retiring from the NBA, Robert plans to stay in Houston, Texas, where he has built a 14,000-square-foot home to be with his family. Robert is currently working as a commentator on ESPN.

NBCMIAMI.COM reports:
“After dancing her way through school, former Miami Heat cheerleader Fabienne Achille traded in her pom-poms for a stethoscope. The pretty 28-year-old paid her way through pre-med school at University of Miami by cheering on the likes of Alonzo Mourning, then turned her attention to the grueling medical curriculum at University of South Florida. The ballgame glamor made her undergrad days memorable, but it wasn’t exactly easy, she says. “It was a lot of hard work especially being pre-med,” Achille, the daughter of Haitian immigrants, says of her dancing days. “But it was definitely a very very enjoyable memorable time in my life.”
The obstetrician is now finishing her residency, delivering babies at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami — the facility where she was born. Eventually, she plans to go into private practice. If time permits, she may also take in more Miami Heat basketball games — but from the stands, not the floor”.
