Meet April Roomet, ex-girlfriend and child’s mother of model/actor Tyson Beckford. April met Beckford when she was working as a waitress in a famous soul food restaurant called “Georgia” in Los Angeles. April says, ” He came into the restaurant and he asked the owner about me. He gave me his number. I accidentally threw the number away and went back looking for it in the trash can. The rest is history”. After meeting in the restaurant, the pair began a torrid romance.
April credits Tyson for standing by her when she discovered she was pregnant with his son, and admits neither of them wanted to get married. April says,“We were on and off for years after Jordan was born. Being on different coasts and so busy with our careers, the timing wasn’t right… Maybe later, down the line, we’ll get it together and figure it out. “Tyson’s been very supportive of my career. We’re still friends and good parents, which is most important.” Their son, Jordan, is 10 years old.
April is a professional celebrity stylist who has hustled her way to the top during her ten years in the industry, styling for more than 100 music videos for such big names as Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Eminem and Bow-Wow.
Currently, April has become a hit on E!’s video vixen reality show, “Candy Girls”. As the self-proclaimed “token white girl” on “Candy Girls,” April is Vixen Danielle’s eyes and ears when Danielle can’t be around.
One an episode of the show, Tyson made a guest appearance which featured April, Tyson and their son, Jordan.

Since the taping of this episode, Tyson Beckford has married a British, UK born entrepreneur named Berniece Julien.

“Michael Jackson’s Brother will have their own reality show. The Show, which will air on A&E, will follow the Jackson’s as they deal with the death of Michael. According to the Hollywood Reporter the brothers filmed the show before The King of Pop passed away and the premise was the brothers attempting to reconcile with Michael. The Pilot could air as soon as next month.”
Steve Harvey’s New York Times best selling book, Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man, will be made into a movie produced by Rainforest Film’s Will Packer. Will Packer will produce, and Harvey will be exec producer. Screen Gems prexy Clint Culpepper will begin canvassing writers to hear different pitches for an ensemble comedy about romantic relationships.
Packer recently produced “Obsessed,” is shooting “Takers” and prepping a remake of “The Big Chill” for Screen Gems.
