Meet Lia Camara Edwards, wife of former NFL player  and Head Coach Herman Edwards. The two met in 1994 on a plane while he was an assistant coach for the Chiefs and she worked for the NCAA in sports management. Lia and Herman married in 2000. Lia and Herman have two daughters Gabrielle and Vivian. Edwards has a son Marcus from a previous relationship.

Herman says, I’ve been blessed to have a wife like Lia.” “She’s always upbeat and positive. She always reminds me I’m a good coach and not to forget it.” When Herman was a NFL head coach, Lia would accompany her husband on all road trips, sit with him on the plane, and greet him when he came out of the locker room after the game.

Lia Edwards battle with diabetes:

Lia, who is 39, found out she had diabetes in her late 20’s. Lia is a Type 1 diabetic. Due to her diabetes, Lia had very complicated pregnancies. Prior to the birth of their 2 current children, Lia and Herman suffered to 2 miscarriages due to her diabetes.

Herman Edwards NFL Career:

As a NFL player, Herman Edwards was a cornerback for Philadelphia Eagles (1977-85), Los Angeles Rams (1986), and Atlanta Falcons (1986).

Herman was a Head Coach for the New York Jets (2001-05) and Kansas City Chiefs (2006-2008).

The Williams sisters had a little fun dancing on the court Thursday (August 27th, 2009) during an exhibition match in New York City.

A judge on Thursday approved Michael Vick’s plan to repay creditors $20 million and emerge from bankruptcy, Michael hustled out of court with his fiance Kijafa Frink to prepare for his return to an NFL field later in the night with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Aubrey O’Day stopped by the Wendy Williams show on Wednesday (August 26th, 2009) and had an interesting perspective on why Rapper P-Diddy tossed her from the Bad Boy roster. Aubrey told Wendy that she wouldn’t have been fired if she had been willing to have sex with Diddy.

When a news crew went to Rosemary Lumpkin’s house, the mother who called police about her daughter working at a strip club, a woman who answered the door came after the cameraman with a garden hoe.

Cocoa police say Rosemary Lumpkin called them Friday night saying she found out her daughter was dancing at Playmates on Industry Road.

Police found the 15 year old, and a 17 year old dressed in something like swimsuit attire. Police say the club owners could not produce any ID’s on the teenagers who detectives say have been working at playmates for months.
