NBA star Lamar Odom is suing his ex-girlfriend Liza Morales over visitation and child support of their two kids.
The Los Angeles Laker star filed a petition in Manhattan Supreme Court asking a judge to set a “parental access schedule” and “reasonable child support for his daughter, Destiny, 12, and son, L.J., 9, who live with their mom, Liza Morales, in Manhattan.
According to the New York Post, the legal attack stunned Morales, 31, who insists she’s had to beg Odom to pay attention to their kids.
“Lamar basically checked out as a father four years ago,” she told The Post. “They [Destiny and L.J.] haven’t had quality time in a long time.”
Liza and Lamar have three children together, Destiny (1998), Lamar Jr. (2002), and Jayden (born December 15, 2005). Liza relationship with Lamar broke down in 2006, when their 6-month-old son, Jayden, died of sudden infant death syndrome while sleeping in his crib in New York.
Liza told The Post, “When we lost our son, he [Odom] was nowhere to be found,” she said. Since then “I always had to be the one to ask him: ‘Lamar, do you want the kids?’ ” she said.
In September 2009, it was reported that Odom was engaged to reality television personality Khloé Kardashian. Odom and Kardashian were married on Sunday, 27 September 2009.
Lamar and Kloe are reportedly about to star in a new reality show — spun off from the current show, “Keeping Up With The Kardashians.” The new reality show will follow the couple as they try to conceive a new baby.
The show will not feature Lamar’s kids because Liza Morales won’t allow Destiny or L.J. on TV.
