Former NBA star Allen Iverson’s wife, Tawanna Iverson, spoke with TMZ recently about why she filed for divorced.
Despite widespread rumors, Tawanna told TMZ:
“Cheating in the marriage has never been an issue. My decision to divorce has nothing to do with another woman.”
Tawanna — who described her 10-year marriage in divorce papers as “irretreivably broken” — explains, “Sometimes people just grow apart and it’s just that simple.”
She adds, “Many people want this to be more complicated than that and it’s not.”
This is the the second time Tawanna has filed divorce from the former NBA star. She filed for divorce the first time back in March 2010, citing the marriage was “irretrievably broken.”
