Bishop T.D. Jakes and his lovely wife Serita Jakes made an appearance on “Oprah Next Chapter” recently and dished on how they met and the secret to their 30 year marriage.

Also, Serita opens up about the people—mostly ex-girlfriends, she says—who didn’t think they should get married.

At age 23, Bishop T.D. Jakes met his future wife, Serita. Thirty years and five children later, the bishop and his wife, the “first lady” of the Potter’s House, say they continue to evolve and work to keep their marriage strong.
