Yesterday on ESPN’s “First Take,” host Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless weighed in on the Chad Johnson and Evelyn Lozada domestic violence incident.

Basically, Smith said that Chad brought some of this trouble on himself because of his need for attention and the woman he chose to marry.

Smith also brought up the fact that on Evelyn’s reality show “Basketball Wives,” her “character” was often portrayed as physically and mentally violent.

Smith also felt that Johnson’s former team, the Miami Dolphins, should have waited until more details emerged before releasing him, considering the fact that Chad has never been in trouble with the law in his entire 12 year professional career.

    i totally agree with stephen a. and i think evelyn instigated the fight physically. the only thing these 2 shared was their love of fame and their propensity towards violence. they should not reconcile and chad needs a talented pr team because ev gonna make him look like oj simpson by the time its all over. i am also not surprised that ev dumped him because she was only with him for the money he had and the man got fired on his day off and now losing endorsements :(
