Ballerwives.com has learned that R&B singer Chris Brown recently visited the Jenesse’s Center ’Back To School Fall Festival’ in Los Angeles where he provided kids with new school supplies to help them get ready for this long school year.
Brown, with a happy grin on face, said:
“It’s in my heart to show my fans, my friends and family and the families at Jenesse who stood by me, that they were right to give me another chance,” says Brown. “I’m working hard to make them proud.”
And the organization’s CEO Karen Earl said:
“It is our focus on family violence and its impact on youth that compelled us to open our hearts and our doors to Chris Brown and his mother, Joyce Hawkins.” Chris and his mom have spent many quiet hours at our facilities, no cameras, no special attention or entourages – they just came to learn. Jenesse is thankful to Chris for spending time with our youth and celebrating the end of summer and returning back to school.”
In addition to the back to school festival, Brown also sponsored The Change Youth Conversations event during the summer. The event, which drew more than 200 teenagers, was aimed at topics around dating violence and healthy relationships.
Jenesse Center is a national non-profit domestic violence intervention and prevention organization that provides a holistic, comprehensive program to nurture victimized families back to a place of mental, financial, physical and emotional well-being.(Story Source)
It is good to see Chris doing well and giving back to the community. Despite the recent club fight/brawl he has been linked to with with rapper Drake, Brown appears to be doing the right things.
