Last week at L.A. Trade Tech, 7-year-old Harmony Love Bailey got a chance to do an interview with the BLOOM PROJECT spokesperson, actor Larenz Tate, to discuss his involvement in the new initiative and his thoughts on the current state of young black males.
BLOOM, which stands for Building a Lifetime of Opportunities and Options for Men, is a bold new initiative of CCF.
The initiative seeks to contribute to a minimum 10% reduction in prison incarceration among 14-18 year old Black males in Los Angeles who have been involved in the county probation through improved educational and employment opportunities.
On a recent episode of TNT’s “Inside The NBA,” co-host Shaquille O’Neal showed fans a home video of his girlfriend, Nikki “Hoopz” Alexander, doing a backflip off his stomach.
Shaq and co-host Charles Barkley are training for a “shirt-off contest,” in which both men will stand shirtless on live TV as others try to judge which one is closest to having a six-pack. The contest goes down on May 15th, which gives both men about two weeks to work on their abs.
In preparation for the contest, Shaq had Hoopz and another friend jump on top of his stomach in an attempt to get it more toned.
On day 2 of Deion and Pilar Sanders’ divorce hearing, there were charges of witness tampering of Pilar’s childhood friend, Dee Boswell’s cell phone.
Another witness, Dr. Lisa Thomas, who is the nine year piano teacher of the estranged couple’s children, testified on Pilar’s behalf and accused Deion of threatening her inside the courthouse.
Also, Deion’s first wife, Carolyn Chambers Sanders, appeared in court to testify on his behalf of being a “good father.”
Retired NBA star Shaquille O’Neal officially received his doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in education from Barry University alongside 1,100 other students during commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 5th, 2012.
The 15 time NBA All-Star took to the podium and discussed his motivation for wanting to pursue a Ph.D. in education.
