Meet Twyla McInnis Betha, wife of rapper/pastor Mason “Mase” Betha. Twla and Mase married back in 2001.The couple gave birth to baby boy in September 2004. Twyla met Mase at Siloam Baptist Church in Atlanta, during a prayer service. Not long after, Twyla forsook her high paying consultant job and began working in the offices of the S.A.N.E. Church. On May 20, 2001 Pastor Mason Betha received an honorary doctorate of theology from St. Paul Bible Institute. That same day, Mase announced his engagement to Twyla to the church. As a result, after hearing about Pastor Mase’s engagement to Twyla, many of the female churchgoers stopped attending church services. The following Sunday the S.A.N.E auditorium was nearly empty. Mase says “that was the work of the devil.”
Twyla Betha is a devoted wife, mother, teacher, pastor and extraordinary life coach whose positive message of love helps countless men and women succeed on their journey to self-discovery. Born and raised in a small town on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Twyla graduated from MSU with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. Soon after, she moved to California and completed her Masters in Environmental Engineering at UCLA. Despite her corporate success and model looks, Twyla struggled with insecurities and self-doubt. Greater than her personal fears, she had an innate desire to know her purpose in life. It was during this time that she began to attend S.A.N.E. Church International (now El Elyon International Church) where Pastor Mason Betha taught the message of Jesus Christ with such clarity and understanding. It was through his teaching that she was able to overcome her fears and receive her God-given purpose of being an ambassador of change – one who would transform lives through pouring the love of God in the hearts of people all over the world.
Her thirst for the Truth caused her to grow exponentially. She was committed to fulfilling her purpose and soon left her corporate career to become a teacher and serve in ministry. Twyla soon became Mrs. Mason Betha and alongside her husband, began to teach in her own unique way. Although Mason affectionately boasts of her teaching style being something “she got from him,” her transparency and colorful expression of her life experiences help people apply God’s principles in a practical way that brings about results. Whether its a sermon, lecture, workshop or seminar, her presence creates an atmosphere of change and people are transformed.
While Twyla has encouraged women and men alike to identify their purpose and full potential, she also has a connection with the youth. In 2006, she founded the Royal Girls Club, an organization for young ladies of all nationalities between the ages of 13 and 18. The sisterhood serves as a vehicle for Twyla to mentor young women across the nation in the areas that affect them most – self love, purity, and purpose. The Royal Girls Club will launch a tour in 2009 in major cities across America to “reclaim our daughters” and teach them how to “live life royally” through understanding who God created them to be and learning how to reach their full potential in their developmental years.
In 2007, Twyla expanded her territory by using her astute business acumen to develop Betha Realty Group, which provides 5-star service to homebuyers, sellers, and investors across the nation. “After making some bad real estate decisions, I developed a passion to educate people and create a company that would be integral and make the home-buying process a smooth transition,” says Twyla. Her desire to serve others has led her straight to the top.

A Bronx native and proud of it, she enjoys sports, reading and talking to adults and children about their problems. She says you have to sometimes have been through or seen issues to explain them.
Keisha says she met Tupac in June of 1994. We were both at a party that Puffy was throwing at a place called the Capitol. He came into the club, I saw him and spoke to him for a brief moment and walked away. I saw him a month later at the Tunnel another club in Manhattan. He came over to me and told me how he had been thinking about me ever since. I was very surprised. He remembered everything from when we first met. He even remembered the clothing I was wearing. Then he asked if he could take me out. Initially, I was scared because I didn’t know where he was coming from. I wanted to know “Why me?” out of everybody else. He said that he never had a woman treat him like I treated him, which was not impressed. I did not make a big deal out of him. He was attracted to that.
Tupac and Keisha ended up tying the knot four months after he began serving his sentence for a rape case in NY: Keisha says, “It was awhile before we actually decided to do this (get married).. It was a lot of thought. It wasn’t just like, ‘Oh yeah’.. It was nothing out of convenience. It was nothing like that. A lot of people saw us together. They knew it was more than that. Unfortunately, the marriage didn’t last long, they annuled the marriage.
