NFL baller Jacob Bell spoke with CBS News correspondent Bill Whitaker about giving up football because he’s worried about the long-term effects of repeated hits to the head, which could possible cause brain damage.
Whitaker also reports on the more than 3,000 football players suing the NFL, claiming the league deliberately concealed information about head trauma.
Last night on TNT’s “Inside The NBA,” the much anticipated “shirt off contest” finally went down between co-hosts Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley.
Basically, Shaq and Charles took their shirts off on live TV to let the fans vote via Twitter on who they think has the better body.

On Thursday night, Chandler Jones, 22, officially became the newest professional athlete in a family full of them. Chandler’s oldest brother, Arthur Jones, 25, plays in the NFL for the Baltimore Ravens. His second oldest brother, Jon Jones, 24, is the current UFC Light Heavyweight champion of the world.

On a recent segment of ESPN’s “First Take,” host Stephen A. Smith responded to NFL baller Ryan Clark’s comments about him on a prior show.
On the prior show, Clark called out Smith for saying some professional athletes are not educated and articulate enough to do his job as a sports analyst. Clark also challenged Smith to debate on the issue and even took a personal jab at his hairline.
As a result, Smith took Clark’s comments personal and fired back to what he calls “nonsense.”
