Meet Angie Smith, wife of NFL star Steve Smith. Angie and Steve met in college at the University Of Utah through mutual friends. He asked her for her phone number while he walked her to class one morning. Angie says, “He seemed really genuine to me.” “He was kind of quiet. What he said was, `I want to get to know you and pick your brain.’ That was different to me.”
The couple got married in 2000 during a bye week the fall of Steve’s senior year. They had set a February date but
just couldn’t wait. “We planned it all in a week,” Angie said.
Steve and Angie have three kids: Peyton, Baylee, and Boston.
In 2004, Steve and Angie founded the Posey Foundation, which is named after his deceased junior college teammate, Demetrius Posey. The goal of the foundation is to foster friendships for a lifetime by providing recreational activities for families and financial support to selected charities.
Peep the video below of Steve and Angie speaking on why they decided to create the Posey Foundation.
